英式烤布丁

描述
據說麵包布丁是出現在十九世紀英國的貧民窟,當時人類生活困苦,很多人每餐都吃又乾又硬的隔夜麵包,後來有人使隔夜麵包較容易入口,就把麵包切小件用熱水浸泡再放入烤箱內烤,這就是麵包布丁的雛型,所以麵包布丁也稱為貧民的布丁。Pudding of The Poor
現在的麵包布丁經過改良,將麵包浸到牛奶、加入糖調味,送進烤箱即可完成,麵包布丁確實被視為一種可提供給虛弱、生病或受傷患者的健康食物。

步驟

在長17cm,寬10cm的烤盤內塗上無鹽奶油 Spread unsalted butter in a baking pan 17cm long and 10cm wide

碗中打入2顆雞蛋 Beat 2 eggs in a bowl

加入35g細砂糖 Add 35g caster sugar

攪拌混合雞蛋與細砂糖,至砂糖溶解 Whisk together eggs and caster sugar until sugar dissolves

加入100cc動物性奶油 Add 100cc heavy cream

將蛋液與動物性奶油混合均勻 Mix egg and heavy cream

將吐司邊切除 Cut off the toast edges

將吐司切成小方塊 Cut the toast into small cubes

將小吐司平均排入塗了奶油的烤盤中 Arrange the small toasts evenly into the buttered baking pan

淋上鮮奶油蛋液 Drizzle with whipped cream

封上保鮮膜,放進冰箱冷藏一晚,讓吐司吸飽鮮奶油蛋液 Cover with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator overnight to let the toast soak up the whipped cream egg liquid

隔天拿出待烘烤的布丁 The next day, take out the pudding to be baked
