Homemade 炒河粉,港式。Homemade chao fun noodles with beef. Very yummy!

  • Mix rice flour, tapioca starch, arrowroot starch (can use tapioca starch as a replacement), oil, and water together. Let sit 15 mins.

  • Pour mixture into a oiled metal pan. Place metal pan directly into a large pot of boiling water in a wok so it floats.

  • Cover wok and let cook 4-5 mins

  • Once cooked, remove pan from wok using tongs. Place 河粉 into oiled cutting board.

  • Marinate beef with a little soy sauce, corn starch, oil. Poach the bok choy in water briefly. Fry the beef.

Unless you have a very flat stove, no need for a steaming tray. Place the pan with the rice mixture directly on the water. This makes for an even layer.
