Homemade wonton! It sounds impossible but it is easy to make. You can make more and freeze them for future use. You can not only make wonton soup but also make Sichuan wonton in chili oil.

Ground pork
2 pounds
1 pound
Ginger, minced
1 T
Green onion
2 T
White pepper
1 t
1/2 t
Sesame oil
1 T
Wonton wrap

    Prepare all ingredients. Mince shrimp and chop green onions.

    In a bowl mix pork, shrimp, ginger, green onion, salt, sesame oil, white pepper and egg.

    Mix for two minutes until it is sticky and the color lightens.

    Prepare a bowl of water. Spoon 1 teaspoon of filling in the center, brush the edges of the wrapper with water.

    Fold in half and bring the two corners together. Dab with water and press to seal.

    Repeat 5.

    In a saucepan of boiling water, simmer wontons over moderate heat, stirring occasionally. When they float, cook 3 minutes longer. Drain the wontons.

    For Sichuan wonton in chili oil, put cooked wontons in a bowl, add soy sauce and chili oil and garnish with green onion and serve.

    For wonton soup, prepare a bowl of broth, add cooked wontons and garnish with fried shallot and serve.

    Freeze extra!
