這個食譜可做成12個鹹的起司馬芬.

食材

small Onion, diced 小的洋蔥切小片 1個
Sweet Red Pepper,diced 甜紅椒切小片 2/3 cup
vegetable oil 蔬菜油 1/3 cup
all-purpose flour 中筋麵粉 2 cups
cornmeal 粗粒玉米粉 1/4 cup
granulated sugar 白糖 1 tbsp
baking powder 泡打粉 1 tsp
baking soda 蘇打粉 1/2 tsp
salt 鹽 1/2 tsp
pepper 胡椒粉 1/4 tsp
dried thyme 乾百里香 1/4 tsp
Cheddar Cheese,shredded 切達起司,細條 1 cup
cooked bacon,diced 烤好的培根切細小 1/2 cup
Egg 蛋 1
milk 牛奶 1-1/4 cups
  • 1 In microwaveable bowl, combine onion, red peppers and oil. Cover and cook on High for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes to soften. Set aside. 把洋蔥和甜紅椒和蔬菜油加在一起,放進微波爐,1 到1-1/2分鐘,直到蔬菜變軟.放涼.
  • 2 In large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper and thyme. Stir in cheese and bacon. 把乾性材料全加在一個大碗,攪和均勻,再加入起司和培根
  • 3 In another bowl, lightly beat egg; stir in milk. 拿另一個碗,把蛋打散,加入牛奶拌勻.
  • 4 Add milk mixture and vegetable mixture to dry mixture and stir just until moistened. 把蔬菜加入乾材料中和勻,慢慢加入蛋奶液,只要麵糊形成一團即可,多餘的蛋奶液不要再加入,否則會變水水的,無法成型.這個步驟,用手攪和,才能知道濕度.
  • 5 Spoon batter into greased muffin cups. 麵糊放進馬芬烤盤 Bake in 375°F (190°C) oven for 15 to 18 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. 375°F (190°C)烤箱,烤15 to 18 分鐘,直到牙籤插進拿出是乾淨沒有黏麵糊 Let cool in pan on rack 5 minutes 先在烤盤中冷卻5分鐘; turn muffins out to cool completely. 再拿出來完全冷卻.

烤培根方法:培根排在烤盤,不要重疊,烤箱390°F (200°C)烤10分鐘,翻面再烤10分鐘,記得烤乾就好,不要烤焦了!
