  • Soak washed 0.5 cup barley & 1 cup mung bean in water for 8 hours or overnight

  • Discard soaking water, put soaked barley & mung bean in the pot with 8 cups of water to boil.

  • Once boil, turn down the heat and cover it to boil for 20 minutes

  • Add 1 cup of sugar, then boil for another 5~10 minutes till desired softness.

-Could cut water down to 4 cups and/or sugar to 0.5 cup, if prefer.
